Gay Pride 2012

My we have come a long way! I started going to Gay Pride in the early eighties in Columbus,Ohio where the parade was lined with protestors. As a result of so much courage we have arrived at the point that our President has come out in favor of gay marriage. Love prevails!

I really got a kick out of these three little boys who watched the parade with rapt attention. Imagine the difference such an experience might have made to some of the young people who have taken their lives because of the feeling of isolation.

Then again, as a mother who has taken her kids to Pride, there are some floats that made me feel uncomfortable to have my kids there!
